Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

A 4½-year professional degree that trains you to heal through movement — built on real patients, real labs and real mentorship.

About the Programme

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a 4½-year undergraduate degree — four years of academic study followed by a compulsory six-month internship in a hospital setting. As a physiotherapist you become the specialist who helps people recover movement, manage pain and rebuild strength after injury, surgery, stroke or chronic illness — without depending on medication.

At FIMS, the BPT programme is anchored in a busy on-campus physiotherapy OPD and well-equipped Electrotherapy, Exercise Therapy and Anatomy labs. From the first year itself, you spend time with senior physiotherapists in our OPD — watching real assessments, practising body-handling, and slowly taking on supervised cases yourself. The goal is simple: by the time you graduate, you should already think and behave like a clinician.

Beyond the academic schedule, BPT students at FIMS get involved in community health camps, sports-injury screenings, school posture-correction drives and rehabilitation outreach in nearby villages. It's this mix of clinic, classroom and community that prepares you for the wide world physiotherapy actually opens up.
