About the Programme

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is a 2-year, full-time postgraduate degree built for BPT graduates who want to go deeper. You pick a clinical specialisation — Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary or Sports Physiotherapy — and spend two years sharpening your assessment, reasoning, research and leadership skills.

At FIMS, MPT students don't just attend lectures. You sit in on multi-disciplinary case discussions, present journal clubs, conduct an original dissertation, and rotate through advanced clinical postings. Our faculty are practising clinicians — many with MPT and PhD qualifications — so what you learn in class is never far removed from what you'll do at the bedside.

Postgraduates at FIMS also get involved in teaching juniors, supervising community camps and presenting at conferences. By the time you graduate, you carry more than a degree — you carry a specialisation, a research project and the confidence to lead a department.

✓Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
✓Completed six-month internship in physiotherapy.
✓Valid registration with the State Council for Physiotherapy (where applicable).
✓Selection through merit, written test and / or interview as per the affiliating university's rules.
