About the Programme

B.Sc. Nursing is a four-year, full-time undergraduate degree approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Odisha Nursing Council. On finishing the programme — and completing your registration — you become a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.): one of the most respected, in-demand and globally mobile healthcare qualifications you can hold.

At FIMS, the B.Sc. Nursing curriculum is taught by experienced tutors who have themselves worked the wards. Our Nursing Foundation, OBG, Community Health and Child Health labs let you practise everything — from giving injections and starting IVs to handling newborn resuscitation models — long before you do it on a real patient. Clinical postings start from the second year in our partner multi-specialty hospitals, PHCs and community health centres.

Eligibility Criteria

✓Pass in 10+2 (CHSE / CBSE / ICSE or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
✓Minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC / ST candidates).
✓Minimum 17 years of age and a maximum of 35 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
✓Medically fit as per Indian Nursing Council norms.
