About the Programme

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (P.B.B.Sc.) is a 2-year, full-time degree programme designed for working — and aspiring — Registered Nurses & Midwives who already hold a GNM diploma. It bridges the gap between diploma-level practice and graduate-level professional nursing, opening doors to promotions, M.Sc. Nursing, teaching and overseas opportunities.

At FIMS we know exactly who walks into a P.B.B.Sc. classroom — practising nurses, ward in-charges and young women who've already done night duties and labour-room cases. The teaching style here respects that experience. Classes are built around case discussions, evidence updates and management problem-solving, not just textbook recitation.

✓Pass in 10+2 (any stream) — candidates with non-science 10+2 must clear a one-year compulsory science bridge as per INC norms.
✓GNM diploma from an INC-recognised institution.
✓Registered as a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.) with the State Nursing Council.
✓Clinical experience preferred but not always mandatory (varies by university).
